According to Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (AASAHP), Allied Health Professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders, dietary and nutrition services, rehabilitation and health systems management. In view of this, all health professionals should be educated to deliver patient-centered care as members of an interdisciplinary team, emphasizing evidence-based practice, quality improvement approaches, and informatics. Pakistan faces an acute shortage of different cadres of healthcare workers, which is bound to escalate further because of high population growth rate, inequitable distribution and out-migration of the healthcare workforce. In this regard, BKMC added a new pillar to its long and continuing foundation in the field of health services and medical education by initiating College of Medical Technology. I really appreciate the determined efforts of all members associated with the College of Medical Technology, Mardan in any capacity. I assure my continuous help and support to the College.
